  • Ceremonial cacao is a pure, minimally processed version of chocolate. It is crafted in a way that retains its natural compounds and nutrition, unlike commercial chocolate. Mayan, Aztec and Toltec cultures have revered cacao for thousands of years and used it in ceremonies, rituals and gatherings.

  • Maya Cacao is our unique blend of heirloom arriba cacao sourced from Ecuador and wild harvested maya nut sourced from Nicaragua. 

Why combine cacao and maya. nut?

  • The cacao tree is a understory tree while the maya nut tree is a canopy layer tree. These 2 trees grow in the same ecosystem and are natural synergists. The idea to combine them came from a cacao shaman who had an extensive background in herbalism. He suggested that maya nut is the #1 synergist with cacao since it provides a grounding base for the upward heart expansion from the cacao.
